Howard's List of Crash Landings
some actions that could lead to your being fired
without prior disciplinary actions
arranged in no particular order
This is not a comprehensive list
Theft - money, materials or drugs
Coming to work under the influence - alcohol or drugs
Job abandonment - leaving work before your shift is finished and not returning, and not getting permission from the manager
Sexual harassment - not confined to touching, can include conversation, written or electronic material
Violation of
Patient Confidentiality - includes any use of patient
specific data for non-therapeutic purposes or inappropriate
times
just because you can look doesn't mean it's OK to look
Violence - ANY unwanted/unrequested touching can be considered "violence" even if no harm is intended or done.
Kaiser takes a zero tolerance approach to these actions. That means no second chances. If you're very lucky you may not get "terminated" but the Guild will have a great deal of trouble defending you. You will not be able to work at Kaiser for an extended period of time while the case is being arbitrated. Some of the above could lead to your pharmacy license being suspended or revoked.
Additionally abuse of Kaiser equipment or materials, using Kaiser equipment for non-Kaiser purposes, can also land you in a heap of trouble and may result in you repaying Kaiser at a premium cost. This would especially include use of photocopiers and printers. It's a lot cheaper in the long run to do your printing and copying commercially.
As simple as it sounds:
Don't do these!
