For over 10 years I have worked for the day when the pharmacists of Kaiser are free to determine their fate by themselves. For many years the needs and desires of the pharmacists have been subservient to the larger groups of which the pharmacists were forced to be part.
Through hard work and perseverance pharmacists now decide issues affecting pharmacists. Through the same kind of hard work and perseverance we have a contract that is the envy of many labor groups. A larger wage increase than ever before. Restoration of the 3 PTO days lost years ago. Better retirement and a "defined employer contribution to a tax deferred account" (HR speak translation: 401K match) We have achieved this through the power of pharmacists working for pharmacists.
The future holds more goals for us, and more challenges. We will continue to work to improve our wages, benefits, and working conditions. We will do it together, with your help.
